Finding Grace in Greenacre Park
September 14, 2016 By  Alisha Ricki With  25 Comments
In  #OOTD  /  OUTFITS

Clouded by the unapologetic noise of every day life, it’s quite easy to find ourselves stuck in a perpetual bubble filled with distractions… until the season begins to change.

More often than not, a change of season often stimulates a sudden wave of self-reflection. If you’re anything like me, this results in a great deal of intense soul-searching.

“The biggest challenge in life is finding creating who you genuinely are.”

Truth be told, the journey to self-actualization is even more daunting in the world as we know it today. Every day we’re constantly bombarded by judgements, expectations, and unsolicited opinions of both strangers and loved ones alike. It’s not hard to see why some of us become overcome with frustration; torn between taking a chance on what feels right, and choosing a conventional [career] path.

We quickly become enthralled by a cerebral stream of ‘should haves’ and ‘what ifs’.

The reality is – there’s no way of knowing what the future holds. All we can do is trust our gut instincts, believe in ourselves, work hard, and accept that faith will light our paths.

“Grace is finding a waterfall when you were only looking for a stream.”- Vanessa Hunt

Life has a way of showing you grace when you least expect it, yet exactly when your soul needs it most.

Trust that when one door closes, another one opens to far better, and much more fulfilling things.

I love the inspiration behind this post and the amazing words you write. It is so true that we get easily distracted and lose ourselves in the process of life. Thank you for reminding us that we need to stay true to ourselves and trust in the plan. I love the top and the floral skirt! xoxo, Christine
